Andrew Weissmann on the FBI's response to the Charlie Kirk assassination

As the former General Counsel for the FBI, Andrew Weissmann has ample experience dealing with catastrophe and the subsequent response by the agency. But, after Wednesday’s shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, FBI Director Kash Patel has yet to prove he’s up to the task.

Jen and Andrew sit down to discuss Patel’s lack of experience, the mismanagement of information going to the public, and how, despite Patel’s poor leadership, there are still many professional, competent FBI agents working hard to arrest the culprit.

Andrew Weissmann is a professor of practice at NYU school of law who served as a lead prosecutor in Robert S. Mueller’s Special Counsel’s Office and as General Counsel for the FBI. Stay connected with Andrew on his Substack here.
